Four Fields of Kingdom Growth

Four Fields of Kingdom Growth

“A sower went forth to sow…” The Gospel spreads, not because of our clever organization, but because of its very nature… Our pilot seeks to unshackle the Gospel from the organizational constraints that we put on its spread. Let it spread without encumbrance from “sustainable structures”. The Gospel spreads because it is its nature to do so – it is alive, it;s powerful and it’s real. To ensure that it reaches an entire city, make sure the message is the original, authentic Gospel message.

what's included in this Lesson

Make sure the message is stewarded within structures identical to those set up by the Lord Jesus and implemented by his apostles, so that the message is free to spread, and be brutally honest about the reality of repentance, belief, faith, power and communication from heaven. Just as a seed contains a forest within itself, and the key to the realization of that seed’s potential depends on gardening, sowing and watering,so there are corresponding activities which need to take place ,so that the spread from circle to circle within communities will ACTUALLY take place and spread at maximum speed. This is all done in partnership, in collaboration with the church and in submitted, respectful relationship with the gatekeepers of the city.

Mark 4:26-29

01

Sowing

WE are commanded to sow. We are not commanded to sow everywhere, even though the parable tells us what happens when a farmer sows onto different types of ground. Because we are friends of Jesus, we can receive information about where to sow, and where to fish, in order to maximize the harvest. Like the blind man at th3 eGate Beautiful, the blind man we walk straight past because he evidently had no faith at that time, another set of seed sowers will catch him later and imoact him with the word that has now reached him at.a time when he is open.
02

Abiding and Observing

In Mark 4:26-29, sleeping speaks of abiding, like when he was confidently sleeping which the disciples panicked. this works to infuse the speakers with boldness, even as the message is being delivered.
Observing speaks of watching in prayer. Giod does not override anyone's will, but He is more than willing to dispatch angels to hedge people into a place of possible encounter (as with Balaam, Paul, etc)
03

Reaping and Pruning

Reaping and pruning are different, but similar activities. They represent freeing persons from sin and weights which hinder a person from experiencing the full power of the Gospel working in their life. Both pruning and reaping require the use of sharp tools - sharp words that call the woruld be disciple or the fruit bearing disciple to repentance in the case of reaping, and to single-minded focus in the case of the disciple who is sqandering his opportunity to bear more fruit. Branches that are not fruit bearing are cut off, and fresh growth flows out of present challenge - all delivered with words as part of the process described and modeled by the Lord Jesus Christ.
FAQ

frequently asked questions

Baptism has been an area of much controversy in the body of Christ, and some believe that it is best to avoid discussing it. Yet baptism was so central to the life of the early church that we couldn't claim to be true to the pattern of the early church if baptism was relegated to a less important place. We have chosen to go the other way - to highlight it, and to present it as a key component of our accelerated multiplication discipleship training.

There is nothing heretical about this statement, it simply indicates that baptisms are taking place without the full power of baptism being activated. Persons who have only experienced a symbolic baptism should be encouraged to study Romans 6, and to apply the truths found therein to their hearts, so that ehy will experience the full power of baptism. These folks do not need to be baptized again, but their spiritual life would benefit significantly from doing the baptism teachings that we provide for new believers, based on Romans 6.

No, the Scriptures are cleear that regeneration is by faith alone, and baptism plays no part in that. Regeneration is the creation of the New Man. Baptism is the burial of the Old man.

Baptism is for cleansing, burial of the old man and identification with Christ - not necessarily for public witness. It is the Scriptural way of expressing a commitment to follow Jesus, and as such it can inspire others to follow Christ - but we should be very wary of decisions to follow Christ purely on the basis of influence of the bold decisions of others. The decision to follow Christ should be based on a recognition of my state as a sinner and the inevitable sentence of death as a result, and by the shocking realization of the love of God in Christ Jesus expressed by taking my place on the cross. This encounter with the love of God is what should evoke the decision to follow Jesus - as our response to HIs love - not any influence, however powerful, by someone else who has had this compelling encounter with the love of God. Baptism is closely paralelled to marriage. All of the advantages of making marriage public would apply to baptism, however, this does not mean that a private marriage is illigitimate. Since a new believer needs to function immediately in their office as a fully functioning member of the body of Christ, they should only be involved in a public baptism if it can be arranged immediately, and without delay.

Quite the opposite. You should only be baptized by an ordained minister if an ordiany (unordained) disciple cannot be found. There were some occasions in Scripture where people were baptized by leaders, but those situations were rare. One of the econdary purposes of baptism is to assure a person that they are part of the body of Christ, which means that the life they now live is supplied both by a direct connection to the Head, who is Christ Jesus conveyed by the Holy Spirit, but also by fellowship with ordinary believers with whom we meet regularly for fellowship.

An urge to self-baptize, as a replacement for believers baptism which requires at least one other person to be present, is probably an indicator of a need for deliverance. Let the person who baptizes you know about this urge, and make sure they exercise their authority to set you free from demon spirits, as part of the baptism ceremony.
